You cannot reserve single- or family-tickets in advance. You can buy tickets at our local ticket counter only.

We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, V Pay and Maestro Card. Please note that we can only accept debit and credit cards if the purchase has a minimum value of 10.00 €!
Groups are always welcome, but please remember to announce your visit in advance, and in case of school groups, to bring a document that certifies the enrolment.
Yes, we offer either a complete guided tour through the whole exhibition for 100.00 € in addition to the entry fees, or a guided tour through one of the two parts of the exhibition (Praehistorium or Time Travel Area) for 58.00 € in addition to the entry fees. Please remember to book your guided tour at least 3 weeks in advance!
You can get audio-guides at our ticket counter. You just have to leave an ID card, driver's license or passport as a deposit. These audio-guides translate the movies and the information boards.
For one tour you should plan on needing about 3 hours of time to really see everything.
Of course you can. Your ticket is automatically valid for the whole day. But remember, that the last possibility to enter the museum is at 4 p.m. (November-March) / 4.30 p.m. (April-October)!
The only limit is our closing time. The exhibition closes at 6 p.m. (November-March) / 6.30 p.m. (April-October). But remember that the last possibility to enter the museum is at 4 p.m. (November-March) / 4.30 p.m. (April-October) and the last possibility to watch the dinosaur-show is at 5.30 p.m. (November-March) / 6 p.m. (April-October).
The recommended age for a visit to the museum is 6 years and above, however it is up to the discretion of the accompanying adult. Please remember all tickets purchased are non-refundable. So please be sure before purchasing your tickets.
Yes, the whole building is accessible by wheelchair, pram or stroller.
Yes, you are allowed to film and take photos for private purposes with a few restrictions: Please do not film the shows and movies, and please turn off the flash during the shows and while taking photos of the live animals! To film and take photos for commercial purposes, please contact our management for a permit.
Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult while they visit the exhibition. Children aged 14 or up are allowed to explore on their own.
It is not allowed to bring pets.
You do not need to worry about the weather; all of our attractions are indoors.
We do not have a cloakroom, but we do have lockers. You can get keys to the lockers at our ticket counter by leaving a deposit of 10.00 €.
In our exhibition, it is generally not allowed to have food or drinks. We do have a restaurant on location, so you can purchase food and drinks there and have them at our restaurant or our play-area; however, here, too it is not allowed to bring your own food and drinks, except for people with special dietary needs.
Yes, you can book a birthday party for your child. You can visit the exhibition on your own or as part of a guided tour, then have lunch or cake (or both) at our restaurant and then move on to our indoor play-area “Gondi’s Dinowelt”. If you do not want to visit the exhibition, you can visit “Gondi’s Dinowelt” only and have a break to get something to eat at your special birthday table at our restaurant. Please remember to book at least 3 weeks in advance! Please note: here, too it is not allowed to bring your own food, cake or drinks!
Our play-area is suited for children aged 0-12. There is a toddler-area for children up to 3 years of age and a big area for the older children.
Usually, adults are not allowed to climb around with their children; however, there are a few exceptions: If your child is scared, too small or physically unable to climb around alone, you are allowed to accompany your child while climbing. Please note the weight limits: for climbing around and using the slides 90 kg max., for the trampoline 60 kg max.!
Children under the age of 8 can only visit the play-area accompanied by an adult. Children aged 8-12 are allowed to stay in “Gondi’s Dinowelt” on their own, if their parents fill in a form provided by the employee working in the play-area; while their child is playing the parents have to stay on the premises!
